Beth is a sustainable building consultant with an educational background and industry experience in building design and construction methods. She has worked closely with building owners, homeowners, architects, contractors, inspectors, and engineers to review solutions for construction projects and building products. Beth has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island, and a Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Design from the Boston Architectural College.
From the design side, she has worked on mechanical design, building envelope detailing, and sustainability projects from concept phase through construction phase. From the manufacturing side, she has worked in product development and validation using ASTM test methods and industry standards. She is familiar with industry best practices and building codes, with general knowledge in a variety of building trades through her studies and work experience. Her career experience includes mechanical system design, whole building energy modeling, data analysis, sustainable building strategies, 2D and 3D CAD drafting, building envelope detailing, LEED credit submittals, coordination of trades, construction administration, and research.
Beth is a LEED Accredited Professional with specialty in Building Design and Construction. She is also familiar with the WELL Building Standard and earned the WELL AP professional credential. Her pursuit of these credentials stems from her passion to help develop structures that function sustainably for years to come, while serving as healthy environments where we live and work. She takes great interest in health and wellness in her personal life and professional work.
